  17. Jack runs on PalmOS 3.0 and higher.  Jack has been tested on a Palm 3 running
  18. PalmOS 3.0 and a Palm V running PalmOS 3.1.1

  22. 2.    Installing Jack
  23. =================================================
  24. Unzip Jack using your favourite zip tool and install the .prc file onto your
  25. Palm Pilot.  To do this use the Palm Install Tool - look in the Palm Desktop
  26. folder.

  28. Install the appropriate PRC file using your Palm Install Tool that you
  29. can find near your Palm Desktop.

  33. 3.    What are alarm 'Attempts'?
  34. =================================================
  35. On the second page of the alarm setting wizard (the 'Setting the Alarm #2' 
  36. page) you'll see an option marked 'How Many Attempts?'.
  37.  
  38. Unlike DateBook, Jack will try several times to alert you when its alarm goes
  39. off.  Jack will ring the alarm twenty times.  If it hasn't been ackowledged 
  40. by the end then it books another attempt in five minutes' time.  After trying
  41. a certain number of these attempts Jack will give up.  You can specify the 
  42. number of attempts Jack should make before giving up.

  46. 4.    Gradual Alarm
  47. =================================================
  48. There is a new option as of 1.2f, a Gradual Alarm.  This starts a bit more 
  49. quietly than the regular alarm, ringing less often and beeping less often on 
  50. each ring.  If you don't switch it off then on the next attempt the alarm is a 
  51. bit more intrusive, and after that it goes back to normal.

  59. 1.2i    Feature:When setting the alarm time, you can now use the up and 
  60.                 down keys as well as dragging the alarm bell.

  62. 1.2h    Feature:Alarms can now be configured to only repeat on weekdays.

  64.         Feature:The alarm can now be snoozed/cancelled with the hard down/up
  65.                 keys respectively.

  67.         BugFix:    When pilot is reset, alarms are lost.  This version now resets
  68.                 the alarm to the right time.

  70.         BugFix: If the user changed the alarm, but _didn't_ click 'done', the 
  71.                 new settings were lost.  This isn't the way Palm apps normally
  72.                 work.  Now the settings are applied as soon as the user changes
  73.                 them.

  78. 1.2g    BugFix:    When the alarm was in non-repeating mode.  After the alarm had
  79.                 fired and been acknowledged, the alarm icon on the Jack screen
  80.                 didn't change to show the alarm was no longer set.
